Our Sunshine’s 1st Birthday Party

I am sharing with you my daughter’s first birthday party from last year. We decided on an “Our Sunshine” theme with accents of pinks and yellows.

We put together the balloon arch and added the sun with faces balloons. We fastened the balloon arch to this cute stand that my parents-in-law had someone previously build.

The tables had flower arrangements that we put together the night before. We added fresh lemon slices into the mason jars the morning of the party. The flowers were purchased at Trader Joe’s and Publix.

We used a glass beverage dispenser stand for the lemonade to add to the sunshine theme. We had two varieties: regular lemonade, and a Strawberry Rose lemonade. We added Monin Strawberry Rose syrup, but also had it as an option for guests to customize their lemonade.

I created an “Our Sunshine is One” banner and placed it near the food table.

We bought sandwich platters from Publix, pastries from our local Cuban bakery and my brother made merengues. The table cloth was from Dollar Tree.

We bought a Costco cake and asked them for the pink and yellow flowers. I was test trialing making birthday candles at the time so I made the “ONE” and “sun” candles. I also made the cake topper with my Silhouette machine.
