Due to my current wedding planning, I have a plethora of wedding invitation samples I received in the mail and floral ideas (thanks to my Mom making her first bouquet for me just for fun!). I love photographing floral bouquets as each flower is beautifully created. A couple of days ago, I asked my mom for her and my father’s wedding rings because I was inspired to take pictures of their rings along with the bouquet she made and one of the sample invitations. She really enjoyed this because 1) when she got married in the early 80s, they did not have detail photography like we do today, 2) I would be able to share a picture of their wedding rings. This is special because my father passed away when I was nine years old and this is one way we can remember him for my wedding. 3) her ring and my father’s look so elegant and timeless. My mom purchased these roses, mums, fern, and a stem of eucalyptus at our local supermarket and created a posy bouquet with ivory satin ribbon.
