Hello everyone! Today I am presenting you with my first home table setting. Since Easter is this weekend, I decorated the table with a a robin egg theme.
For the greenery, I purchased this Fresh Picked Greens Large Fern Bush at JoAnn’s Fabrics. It costs $9.99, but they were on sale for 50% off, thus making it $5. I pulled out all the fern leaves and placed them around our personalized MyThirtyOne “Close to Home Tray“. I also added some faux Queen Anne’s Lace flowers around the ferns. Along with the floral wreath arrangement, I added little robins’ eggs to the centerpiece.
For the main centerpiece of the table, I placed fresh, beautiful light pink tulips and accent floral into a yellow “basket” vase. It was hidden away in the garage, and my mom was surprised I found it, but it provides a nice spring brightness to the table. On either side of the tulip arrangement, there is a cross and a wooden lamb. Jesus is the One we celebrate during Easter and all He has done for us to gain salvation to live eternally with Him, so a cross is definitely a must at the centerpiece. Obviously, the lamb on the table is so adorable, but we must not forget that Jesus is the Lamb of God, the final and only atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Now onto the robins egg decorations. I was looking for a nest to place robin eggs in, and I found it at JoAnn’s Fabrics as well! It is called the Bloom Room Nest Egg Mix with 22 pieces. It retails for $12.99, but I used a 40% coupon on it. The kit includes two nests and 20 speckled eggs, either blue or light green.
My mom found antique Theodore Haviland Limoges France Nosegay china for a great price at an estate sale! They are perfect for spring time because of the flower pattern and gold trim around the dish. We will also be using our sterling silver cutlery.
To thrown in a more “modern, fun twist”, we added these printed “Happy Easter” paper napkins. Along side of the napkin, there is a little moss nest with three Reese’s peanut butter eggs. Yummy!
The table is lined with a floral table runner that has pink, white, and yellow flowers all through out it.
May the Lord bless your Easter!
