Double D’s Coffee and Desserts is a unique coffee shop in Downtown Asheville, North Carolina. The shop is an adorable converted double decker bus. On the first deck, the barista crafts the drinks and on the second deck there is a seating area. There was also a garden patio for outdoor seating with hanging market lights. Our barista was so friendly. She recommended the lavender or peppermint mocha flavors. I ended up with the special crafted drink of the day, a Blackberry Lavender White Mocha latte. E had an iced peppermint mocha coffee. The blackberry lavender mocha was…
L & M – “Better Together” Sunrise Engagement Session Earlier this month I was a second photographer for my best friend’s engagement pictures at Hollywood Beach, Florida. L’s future brother-in-law was the main photographer. It was the most beautiful and perfect sunrise I had seen in a while. The clouds had the perfect puff and the colors were gorgeous. I have known L for the past 4.5 years and we were always looking forward to our special day. We would pray and wonder who we would end up marrying. Finally, we…
I finally got around to posting the pictures from my family trip to Washington D.C. this past April. The highlight of our trip was seeing the cherry blossoms in peak season! All the walkways and underneath the cherry blossom trees were filled with people from all over the world looking at the breathtaking array of light pink and white blossoms lining the Tidal Basin. This year I focused on taking candid pictures as opposed to strategically taking “perfect” shots. I absolutely love the picture below of the couple walking, hand-in-hand, through the cherry blossom trees…
Detail photography is important to showcase the little things that make an event special. I enjoy getting closeups of objects when taking pictures. This is why detail photography is significant. When doing engagement rings, it beautifies the token that represents the love between the couple. I have been searching the internet for the perfect wedding day shoes. I purchased two pairs: one shown in the pictures, and the other will remain a mystery until after my wedding day. The sandals shown in this blog post are from David’s Bridal. The ivory satin block heel sandal is embellished with…
Robbins Preserve Park (Robbins Lodge Park) in Davie, Florida is one of my favorite parks in South Florida. A reason why it is one of my favorite parks is because it does not look like it belongs in South Florida. The park has many oak trees, open fields, equestrian trails, a children’s playground, a beautiful white gazebo, and a brick lodge building that gives the park a northern feel. This is also a beautiful venue for an intimate wedding. This park is special to me because it was the first park my boyfriend (now fiancé) and I visited…
Due to my current wedding planning, I have a plethora of wedding invitation samples I received in the mail and floral ideas (thanks to my Mom making her first bouquet for me just for fun!). I love photographing floral bouquets as each flower is beautifully created. A couple of days ago, I asked my mom for her and my father’s wedding rings because I was inspired to take pictures of their rings along with the bouquet she made and one of the sample invitations. She really enjoyed this because 1) when she got married in the early 80s…
My best friend, Laura, and I enjoy going on Coffeeventures to different coffee shops. We decided to venture down to Coral Gables to visit Café Demetrio. This café is Coral Gables’ first coffee house that serves artisanal coffee with adorable cocoa hearts dusted on top of your latte. I had a delicious Cafe Leo that features a thick drizzle of caramel. The café also serves sandwiches, salads, pasta, and breakfast. The building is from 1926, but the coffee shop opened up in 1997. After our coffee break, we drove to the Prado Entrance and spent some time there. Another…
Katie has been a long time friend of mine; I’ve known her so long I consider her a sweet cousin! Last year, she was visiting during the summer and we decided to go have a photoshoot at two different parks in South Florida: Vista View Park (Davie) and Peace Mound Park (Weston). If you are looking for hills in South Florida, Vista View Park is the place to go. I wanted to incorporate fairy lights with Katie’s pictures because I think they look pretty and dreamlike…
