Hi everyone! Last September (2023), my mom threw me a beautiful flower market baby shower for my second daughter. I had so much fun picking out the details, but she and a few other friends helped put the whole shower together! Because I was having my second daughter, I felt a little silly having a larger party, but because my first daughter’s shower was a “drop in for as little or as long as you want” due to the Covid pandemic, I felt at ease.

I used a large chalkboard frame that I had purchased from Hobby Lobby years ago.

The show stopper of the baby shower was the “flower bar cart”. The cart served as both a backdrop for photos and for party favors. Each guest was able to create their own bouquet to take home. It was a fun activity for the guests and it was so neat seeing how all bouquets turned out beautifully unique (see collage below). The bouquets were placed in mason jars which were tied with different colored ribbon I purchased from Michaels. Flowers and greenery were purchased from Publix, Trader Joes, and Costco. My mom had several galvanized vases that we used to hold the flowers. I linked similar ones below.

I made a flower bar directions sign on Canva, printed it on sticker paper, and then placed it on a canvas board. I reuse these boards for other events (see my daughter’s 2nd birthday party).
Each table was decorated with a white tablecloth and topped with a pink gingham table runner. The center piece was either a basket filled with pumpkin or apple fillers, or it was a wood stump. Tables also had bible verses in pretty wood frames.

My dress was from Morning Lavender, an online boutique that has beautiful dresses and other clothing. I originally purchased this dress for a different event, but it still fit me perfectly while seven and a half months pregnant. My nails were Olive and June press ons. I did file them down, but I loved how they looked as they fit the theme.

This sweet “A Little Pumpkin is On the Way” guest book was a nice touch. Inside it has sections for guests to make predictions of the baby. It was fun to see what everyone thought!
We also had a onesie creation station that was very interactive for the guests. I had printed out elements that I had downloaded from the Silhouette store and The Hungry Jpeg onto transfer paper. I cut out the elements and laid them out on the table so that guests could create their own custom onesies for my baby girl. There were different onesie sizes that ranged between 0-3 months and 9-12 months. My Cricut Easypress 2 was stationed at the table with directions.

The coffee bar in the back offered hot and cold coffee options with creamers, Simple Goodness Sisters Apple Pie syrup, and 1883 Coffee Syrups, and we also offered iced spiced apple cider.
We had a wide spread of brunch food and desserts: Chick-fil-A nuggets and toasted waffles cut up to make chicken and waffle bites, a yogurt bar with fruit, a charcuterie board, quiche, egg salad, apple crumble cheesecake, merenguitos that my brother made, and many other delicious treats.
This was a wonderful time with family and friends and I’m so glad that we could have fun at a flower market!
